Erin Wheeler

Erin (she/her) is a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Chicago, where she owns a private practice, Inner Resource Counseling. She is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) and Certified EMDR therapist. Erin's mission is to help folks believe, first and foremost, that they have innate value because meaningful change will naturally grow from trusting one's worth. She provides a safe and affirming space for folks to engage with the conflicting and judgmental parts of themselves. Erin's work with clients incorporates EMDR and other healing modalities, such as ego-state, somatic mindfulness, ACT, DBT, and social justice interventions. Whether you are entering therapy to manage current life stressors or work through past trauma (or both), Erin will learn about your goals and offer concrete tools to support your growth and healing process. Some of Erin's areas of focus include: -Healing from birth and medical trauma, especially in the face of subsequent pregnancies -Moving through infertility and pregnancy loss - Managing unique needs as a neurodivergent birthing person, parent, or caregiver -Managing unhealed attachment injuries showing up in the transition to parenthood
