Pauline Walfisch is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in NYS. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International and EMDRIA certified in EMDR. Pauline provides individual and group psychotherapy- working with both the individual and as needed the couple. Her practice specializes in the treatment of mental health issues related to pregnancy, the postpartum period, infertility, adoption and perinatal loss.
Pauline is also a consultant-in-training under the mentorship of Dr. Mara Tesler-Stein. Pauline has mentored and coached many clinicians as they worked towards their professional goals. Pauline provides trainings for other professionals on topics related to reproductive mental health, and offers supervision/consultation for emerging perinatal clinicians and new EMDR providers.
Pauline Walfisch is the owner and clinical director of Helping Hands Psychotherapy. Pauline is a member of Resolve- the national infertility association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine- Mental Health Practitioners Group, and EMDRIA-EMDR International Association. Pauline has completed the Postpartum Support International certificate training for the diagnosis and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She also serves on the executive advisory board for the Nassau County Department of Health Perinatal Services Network and is chair of the maternal mental health work group.
